The Latest Addition To My Goodnight Playlist

I should be hitting the sack in a few but I might as well share the latest addition to my Goodnight Playlist since the song is playing on loop as I type.
I've grown accustomed to listening to mellow music to put myself to sleep. I'm not too dependent on it but I just know that it eases away my stresses and it helps save my sanity. The songs that I have on are usually easy on the ears and have sensible lyrics. Depending on the song's content and the emotional state that I'm in, listening to it can either make me wishful or wistful as it whisks me away to dreamland. I personally prefer hearing love songs and/or happy songs before I sleep because I have concocted this notion that the last thoughts that come to my mind before I sleep greatly affect my mood the following day. I find that listening to music before dozing off has improved the quality of my sleep, too.
How can you not fall in love?
My interest for this song stemmed from watching one of my favorite YT gurus' bedtime routine video. It only took me a good minute to switch the page to Google to search for its title when I heard it on the background. The song is I'll Lie Here by Mike Dignam, who happens to be a British folk artist. I just love this song and I'm hooked even before I got the chance to read its lyrics. Speaking of which, the song is simply well-written that it proves the fact that it doesn't take big words to elicit certain emotions. I'll Lie Here literally conveys a goodnight message to a better half or partner. It's cozy and it overflows with love and sweetness. If you're single, like me, it just makes you want to fall in love so you could sing this song to someone. Or is it better to have someone sing this song to you? Haaaayyy...

While I have yet to find that someone to sing this song to, I'll just lie on my bed and fall deeply in love with this song to a stupor.

Have a good night's sleep, reader(yeah right, as if someone's reading this..).

Stay Happy,
Khaye :)
